Travelling with miniatures

It’s fraught with danger I tells ya! DANGER!

Seriously though, so far, so good. Everything of mine in my army is loaded inside a Citadel Crusade Case (so 2000 odd points of Marines + a bunch of Aeronautica Imperialis), and it’s made the journey without much issue.

Including when I dropped the case. Nothing moved, nothing broken.

It’s a perfect size for carry on luggage (because nobody in their right mind should ever check a case full of miniatures), and fits in the overhead lockers without concern.

Now to just wait until getting to Warhammer World next Friday. Woohoo!

The road to Nottingham

So in a couple of weeks, I’ll be winging my way over to the UK, and taking an army over with me.

The army that I’m taking? 2000 points of Space Marines, in particular, the Raptors chapter. I’ll get some pictures uploaded once they’re all finished, but here’s the units that I’m taking over.

HQ
Phobos Captain
Phobos Lieutenant
Phobos Library

Troops
Intercessor Squad w/ Bolt Rifles
Intercessor Squad w/ Bolt Rifles
Intercessor Squad w/ Stalker Bolt Rifles

Elites
Invicta Tactical Warsuit w/ Flamer
Invicta Tactical Warsuit w/ Flamer
Redemptor Dreadnought
Aggressors w/ Auto Boltstorm Gauntlets

Fast Attack
Inceptor Squad w/ Assault Bolters (6 man)
Suppressor Squad
Suppressor Squad

Heavy Support
Repulsor Executioner
Eliminators w/ Bolt Snipers
Eliminators w/ Bolt Snipers
Eliminators w/ Las Fusils

It’s not all in one detachment, and the units I’m taking over total more than 2000 points, but that’s so I have the flexibility of swapping a unit of Suppressors out for a unit of Aggressors.

I’m also taking an Aeronautica Imperialis force over of Imperial Navy. Pics of those to come soon as well!

And so, the site goes live…

Welcome to the Two Headed Hobbyist! This’ll be my fun, hopefully actively used blog where I’ll post about what hobby projects I’m working on, and share works-in-progress and completed things.

And hopefully the odd battle report or two…
